We are busy building and the builders let the dog out. His a little black dashund his name is Mike. My kids will be devestated if we don't find him.

Network Business vs Watchtower Business
by jakes init just occured to me that the watchtower is run similar to a pyramid networking type business.what i am talking about is the type of business where members are recruited to distribute or sell the company's exclusive products only available from members, and not from normal retail chain stores.. in most of these network type business schemes the members stand to make at least a bit of money.however, in the watchtower's case, the members(r&f, congregations) do not.
the watchtower takes all the spoils.. would you say it is a fair comparison?.

Jesus never used the name Jehovah???
by Mrs Smith inmy hubby and i have been doing a lot of bible reading are we correct by saying that jesus never once used the name jehovah?
if the name is so important surely jesus would have used it?
the jw's say that jesus was the greatest teacher and that we should follow his example so why are they using a name that jesus did not once refer to.

they are not the "most educated people on earth" in spite of their enrollment in the theocratic ministry school.. witnesses are not the best neighbors because they won't involve themselves with you unless they can preach to you.. .

Maybe it will upset them, maybe they will just discard...
by Crumpet init is my parents wedding anniversary saturday and every year since i left i have always sent them a card.
i wondered whether i should or not this year.
on balance i wasn't sure what would upset them more - waiting for a card that never came, or receiving a card at all, especially since i said in december that i wouldn't "bother" them anymore.. anyway it felt right to send a card so i did and i decided to put a little note inside, folded and bearing the message: "my news, but don't read it if you aren't interested".

I received a pm yesterday and could not open it!!! I love getting pm's they make me feel all special like someone really has something to say just for me. All day I tried and tried and tried but it would not open. This morning the first thing I did was check the forum and it worked. Thank goodness. I'm really becoming an addict of JWD. We need to start a recovery programe for addicts! lol.
